Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is a website worth having? Is it really cost effective?

A. The accessibility of a well optimised site means that, your website is selling for your company 7 day’s a week 365 day’s a year to 99% of the business population. This makes it one of the most cost effective forms of advertising/selling currently available to any commercial organisation.

Q. Does it really matter what my website looks like, surely as long as our contact details are available ie address and telephone number why should I worry?

A. Whether you are selling products or services, business to business or business to consumer your website is often the first port of call any potential customer’s may make. Therefore you do not get a second chance to make a first impression. Additionally if a potential customer is thinking of engaging a company to support them, they may well start by comparing the websites of possible suppliers. It is at this point a well optimised eye catching website can pay dividends.

Q. What is the point in investing our hard earned revenue in a website, would we not be better off using that money on advertising instead?

A. When compared to advertising, creating an effective website can be a great opportunity to differentiate oneself from your competition; the options open to you are phenominal. Most adverts in your local paper for example, are very one dimentional. It is very hard to be unique and to stand out from the crowd of other competitor’s and ultimately to get a return on your investment.

Q. How long does it take for the design to be completed?

A. This is a tough question to answer, obviously the size of a website can vary tremendously. We usually suggest an on site meeting take place, prior to attempting to build anything. These meeting’s are free and there is absolutely no obligation on behalf of the customer to commit to anything if they choose not to. The main objective of the visit is to establish exactly what the customer requires from the website and to provide an idea as to the timeframe needed coupled with the cost attached to building the new site.

Q. Do we really need our own website? Can we not just appear on directory sites instead?

A. Of course directory sites can prove helpful in bringing some new business to your door, but again you will probably find by definition you are one of several (builders, nursing homes etc) listed on the site with which you have to compete. The main point is that the Internet is here to stay, therefore those organisations who learn how to take advantage by creating their own website and using the net will most likely come out on top.
